Beautiful wildflowers grow in the Rocky Mountains of Montana where I live. These wild irises are the perfect example of the lushness of the flora here. Their petal colors in the wild range from lavender to deep purple and intense, sunny yellow to creamy vanilla. They grow in the boggy areas next to our lakes and ponds. Often you will see white trumpeter swans and Canada geese, as well as ducks and other water fowl floating in and amongst these beautiful iris.
